AFM Super 6 Final Confirmed for Wednesday 16th January 2008.
The event is now over half way with only a few schools fixtures remaining, keep checking the rankings and fixtures to see where your ranked.
Details of those that have qualified for the final will be sent invites via their PE teachers after the last fixture.

This seasons fixtures are well underway with many schools having already held there first round events! Whilst results can be found online for the schools which have already taken part, please bear with us in regards to the ranking, these will be in place shortly'

The Guernsey Athletics Club will again be running this event which proved so successful last year. Amalgamated facility Management (AFM) will again be sponsoring the event which will see Lee Merrien (the islands Athletics Development Officer) visiting all the secondary schools, giving boys & girls from years 8 & 9 a chance to particpate in the indoor athletics scheme.
The event format will remain un changed from last year with 4 events being contested - The sprint, the Jump, the Throw and the Endurance run. The event gives kids aged between 12 and 14 the chance to compete in athletics during the winter with great prizes on offer!
Athletes can also keep up to date on how they, and fellow pupils are getting on with the online Super 6 rankings.
Speak to your Schools PE Teacher or contact the club if you require more information about the event.
Final Date confirmed - This will be held on Wednesday 14th March at Beau Sejour with the first event being held at 4pm.
Also confirmed are the fantastic prizes on offer! Thanks to AFM each event winner will pick up one of the following.

Throw Winner - Digatil Camera
Jump Winner - New Pair of Athletic Trainers
Endurance Winner - His or hers Polar Heart Rate Monitor
All participants will also be given a free T-Shirt to wear for the event, which they then can take home after.
Remember the Top 6 Athletes in the Super 6 Rankings for each event will be invited to the Final. This will be done through your PE Teacher once all fixtures are complete.
The first wave of fixtures for the AFM Super 6 -Indoor Athletics has now taken place, with the rankings tables now fully up to date. All Secondary School are on board with the event, with only Athletes from Blancheland Girls College yet to take part (an early January date is being arranged with the school).
There have been some excellent performances by many athletes so far; check out the rankings to see how they've been getting on. Remember the top 6 in every event will be invited to the Super 6 Final which will be held in the middle of March date TBC shortly. Don't worry if you haven't made the top 6 so far as the second wave of fixtures will give you another chance to improve your scores. These are set to be held during January and early February and will be confirmed soon along with the prizes that can be won at the final!

What is the Super 6...
4 Individual Indoor Events...
Open to both Girls and Boys, initially for just School Years 8 & 9.
Every Athletes performance to appear on the Guernsey Athletics Club Website.
Separate Rankings for girls and boyss, and each event respectively.
Athletics Development Officer Lee Merrien to run at least 2 of these events during the Winter in each school plus the Super 6 Final.
A comprehensive Ranking List regularly updated through the winter so athletes, parents and teachers can keep track of every athletes ranking.
The Top 6 Athletes in every event for both Boys & Girls will be invited to the 'Super 6 Final' (Venue TBC)
