A large field defied the bracing conditions for the traditional Boxing Day fixture. The strong, cold north easterly wind seemingly detring fast times. Steve Dawes had an un-troubled victory with Alan Rowe establishing a clear second place mid race to be joined on the podium by Lee Garland who emerged from the chase pack including Dave Dyke and a notably good run from cyclist Rob Smart.

Despite the poor conditions Martine Scholes was the first Lady home posting a fantastic time of 29:31 which places her second on the Guernsey all time time list for the full course.
