In the 4.5 Mile Road Race, held over the Vazon Loop, veteran Dave Green made a welcome return to competition and surprisingly held Nick Despres for the opening half of the race before tailing off in the closing stages. Despres eventually finished a minute clear in a time of 25 minutes 28 seconds with John Addy continuing his good form to claim third.
