Mike Doyle held off a strong challenge from Mark Anthony to comfortably win the GIAACıs 5 Mile cliff path run held over a two lap Pleinmont course.
Doyle quickly built up a lead on the opening lap but Anthony rallied in the middle of the race and, after Doyle made a minor deviation from the course, found himself back with the leader.
With a mile remaining Doyle held a narrow lead of 10 seconds but ran strongly over the closing stages to pull a minute clear. Sara Queripel followed veterans Gordon Mercier and Alan Smith across the line for a fine 5th place.
With many regular competitors competing in the UK the event only attracted 19 entrants.
