Newton Investment Management Limited was formed in 1977 by Stuart Newton. Initially the company was focused on Pension Fund Management but moved in to retail fund management in the 1980's and now has a number of top performing Unit Trust funds both on and off shore. In addition Newton manages investments for high net worth and corporate clients on a descretionary basis. In 1998, Mellon Bank Corporation of the US acquired a majority stake in Newton. Presently, Newton manages over £13billion of assets.
